Delmar, MD

United States

United States

Delmar straddles the Maryland-Delaware border along US Route 13, about 15 miles north of Salisbury. The town earned its nickname "The Little Town Too Big for One State" because it literally spans two states. Most visitors arrive via US 13, the main north-south route connecting Wilmington to the beach areas, or take Route 54 for east-west travel across the peninsula. The historic railroad station sits directly on the state line, with separate waiting rooms that were once legally required for Maryland and Delaware passengers.
