De Pere sits on the Fox River just south of Green Bay, connected by US 141 north-south and Highway 32 along the eastern edge. I-43 lies a few miles east for longer trips to Milwaukee or the Twin Cities. Austin Straubel Airport is about 15 miles northeast. The city centers around St. Norbert College, whose Gothic Revival buildings crown the bluffs above the Fox River downtown.
