Dartmeet

Dartmeet lies where Dartmoor's East and West Dart rivers meet, about 20km northeast of Plymouth. Reach it via the A38 to Buckfastleigh, then B3357 through Ashburton, or from Plymouth via the A386 and B3212 through Princetown. The narrow moorland roads demand careful driving around free-roaming ponies. The medieval clapper bridge here, built from massive granite slabs without mortar, has crossed the East Dart for over 600 years.
