Dalmellington is a former mining town in East Ayrshire's Doon Valley, reached via the A713 from Ayr or through the M77/A77 corridor from Glasgow. The area has over 30 EV charging points and serves as a gateway to Galloway. The town's highlight is Cathcartston Viaduct, a magnificent five-arched Victorian railway bridge spanning the River Doon.
