Cyril is a small farming town in southwestern Oklahoma, about 80 miles from Oklahoma City via Highway 8 and US-62. The main route through town is State Highway 8, connecting east to Anadarko (12 miles) and west toward Texas. Most long-distance travelers use US-62 northeast to reach I-44 and Oklahoma City. The restored 1920s grain elevator dominates the skyline and serves as a landmark for miles around.
