Cynwyd lies in the Dee Valley along the A494 between Corwen and Bala, serving as a gateway to the Berwyn Mountains. Most visitors arrive via the A494 from either Llangollen through Corwen or from Bala following the River Dee. The town offers about a dozen EV charging points and retains its old railway station building, complete with Victorian platform canopy, now converted to a charming tearoom.
