Crossens

Crossens lies six kilometres southeast of Southport in the Lancashire coastal plain. The A565 provides the main route from Southport, whilst the A570 connects southward to Ormskirk and the M58. Most traffic consists of local journeys, though longer routes serve Blackpool Airport 30 kilometres northeast. The settlement sits on reclaimed marshland below sea level, maintained by an extensive network of drainage pumps that prevent flooding.
