Crookstown (Kildare)

Crookstown sits in County Kildare's horse country, about 50 kilometers southwest of Dublin along the N81. Take the M7 to Junction 8, then follow the R413 through Kilcullen to reach this small town surrounded by thoroughbred stud farms. It's handy for trips to Naas (25km) or Carlow (30km), with decent electric charging around Naas and the M7. The town's claim to fame is an 18th-century corn mill that still grinds grain with its original waterwheel, operating exactly as it did 250 years ago.
