Craughwell is a handy spot in County Galway, sitting right on the N6 about 25 kilometers east of Galway city. The town makes a grand base for commuters heading into Galway via the R446, and it's perfectly placed for anyone traveling between Dublin and the west coast. The big draw here is the greyhound track that's been running since 1955, pulling crowds from all over Connacht for the evening races during summer.
