Craigavon

Ireland
Craigavon is a planned town in County Armagh, 46 kilometers southwest of Belfast, built in 1965 in the Upper Bann valley. The M1 motorway runs straight through, making it a handy base for reaching Belfast, Dublin, Banbridge, and Newry. The A3 cuts through the town center while the A26 heads north to Ballymena. What sets Craigavon apart is its unusual design with loads of roundabouts and complete separation of cars from pedestrians, plus two artificial lakes at its heart. The Rushmere Shopping Centre houses Ireland's only indoor ski slope with real snow all year round.
