Cragside

Cragside occupies a commanding position in Northumberland's Coquet Valley, 4km from Rothbury market town. Reach it via the A697 from Newcastle (50km), then B6341 west through Rothbury, following brown signs. Local routes include the scenic B6341 from Alnwick (20km). Around 30 fast EV chargers serve the area. This Victorian mansion was the world's first house lit by hydroelectric power in 1878.
