Cradhlastadh perches on Lewis's Atlantic edge near Uig Bay, reached via the A858 from Stornoway ferry terminal through 45km of peat moorland. The settlement sits amongst some of the Outer Hebrides' finest beaches, where winter storms regularly uncover Viking-age artifacts from the shifting white sands.
