Cowlease sits just inland from Ventnor on the Isle of Wight's southern coast, sheltered between the downs and dramatic Undercliff. Reach it via ferry then the A3055 coastal route from Newport or A3056 from northern ports. The area's mild maritime climate, protected by surrounding hills, creates the lush microclimate that attracted Victorian novelist Charles Dickens to nearby Bonchurch.
