Cougie

Cougie is a small Highland settlement west of Inverness, reached via the A831 from Beauly in about 45 minutes. It sits amid dramatic mountain scenery where ancient pine forests meet rushing rivers, serving as a gateway to Glen Strathfarrar. The village controls access to one of Scotland's most pristine glens through a locked gate system that strictly limits vehicle entry to preserve the fragile Highland ecosystem.
