Copley is a small residential area in Tameside, easily reached via Junction 23 of the M60 and the A635 through Stalybridge. The A635 Huddersfield Road provides the main connection, whilst the trans-Pennine A628 links to Yorkshire. Manchester Airport lies 25 kilometers south via the M60, and there are over 250 EV charging points nearby. The Huddersfield Narrow Canal passes through the village, featuring one of Britain's deepest inland waterway locks at nearly four meters.
