Coolea (Cúil Aodha)

Coolea sits in the heart of Cork's Muskerry Gaeltacht, a small village along the River Lee valley surrounded by rolling hills. From Cork city, take the N22 west for 35 kilometers, then follow the R584 north through Macroom before turning onto local roads into the village. The area has about 3 public EV charging stations nearby, making it handy for those exploring the southwest or heading to the Ring of Kerry. Coolea is famous for its award-winning farmhouse cheese, made by the Willems family using traditional Dutch Gouda methods adapted to local conditions.
