Coolderry is a handy stop along the N52 between Birr and Tullamore in County Offaly's central plains. From Dublin, take the M4 to Kinnegad then follow the N52 south for about 90 minutes. Coming from Cork or Limerick, you'll want the M8 north to the N62, then connect to the N52 near Birr. The area is proper farming country with stone walls and hedgerows dividing the fields. Birr Golf Course sits nearby, an 18-hole parkland course that winds through mature trees with grand views across the Offaly countryside.
