Colton Common lies on Leeds' eastern fringe between the A64 York Road and M1 corridor. The A64 offers quick access to Leeds city centre in 15 minutes or York in 45 minutes, whilst junction 46 of the M1 sits nearby for longer journeys. Local routes include Selby Road and Austhorpe Lane connecting to Cross Gates and Garforth. The area features one of the few working red telephone boxes still maintained by BT.
