Coffee City is a small East Texas community of 266 people located about 15 miles southeast of Tyler on US Highway 155. Most visitors arrive via Interstate 20, taking the US 155 exit north toward Tyler, then continuing southeast through rolling pine forests. The town sits near Lake Palestine in Henderson County's wooded terrain. The original general store that gave Coffee City its name still stands along Highway 155.
