Clonsilla

Clonsilla is a suburban town in west Dublin, about 15 kilometres from the city centre along the Royal Canal. The M50 at Junction 6 gives the best access via the R147, while the N4 connects to Dublin and heads west to Galway. Clonsilla railway station on the Maynooth line links directly to Dublin Connolly and Pearse stations, with regular Dublin Bus services as well. The Royal Canal towpath runs right through town, offering a grand walking and cycling route that stretches 145 kilometres to the Shannon, with lovely original stone bridges from the early 1800s still standing.
