Clermont is a small town in western Marion County, surrounded by Indianapolis but maintaining its own character along the White River's west fork. Most visitors take I-465 to Exit 13, then head west on Rockville Road for about three miles, or follow West Washington Street straight from downtown Indianapolis. The area features rolling terrain with deciduous forests and experiences typical Indiana weather with humid summers and snowy winters. The town's claim to fame is its 1876 covered bridge, one of the last original covered bridges remaining in Marion County.
