Cleggan is a small fishing village on Galway's Atlantic coast, about 80 kilometres northwest of Galway city via the N59 through Connemara. The harbour remains a working port where local boats land crab, lobster, and fresh fish that supply restaurants across the region. You'll find ten electric vehicle charging stations here, making it handy for exploring the Wild Atlantic Way. The village sits in a sheltered bay facing the Aran Islands, with the R341 providing the final 15-kilometre coastal approach from Clifden.
