Clayton is a tiny farming community of 33 people in north-central Kansas, reached via US Highway 36 about 15 miles east of Norton. The area sits on rolling prairie with a continental climate of hot summers and cold winters. Most traffic consists of agricultural vehicles and locals traveling between rural communities, with no EV charging available. The town's grain elevator towers over the flat landscape, visible for miles as a distinctive prairie landmark.
