Chulmleigh sits in Devon's rolling countryside, about 20 miles from both Exeter and Barnstaple. Reach it via the A377 from Exeter through Crediton, then the B3042, or from the A361 through South Molton and Kings Nympton. The town serves surrounding villages with narrow lanes threading between hedgerows, whilst the A361 provides motorway connections for longer journeys. Its 19th-century market hall with clock tower still hosts weekly markets that have run for over 700 years.
