Chequerfield lies between Wakefield and Pontefract in West Yorkshire, easily reached via the A628 from the M62 junction system. The A1(M) at Darrington provides the main north-south route, whilst local traffic uses the B6135 connecting surrounding villages. Electric vehicle charging is well-covered with over 150 fast chargers nearby. The Victorian Public Baths building retains its original 1887 carved stonework on the high street.
