Cheadle Heath forms part of Greater Manchester's Stockport area, sitting 3km from Stockport centre between the Mersey Valley and Manchester's southern suburbs. The M60 provides main access via Junction 3 and the A34, whilst the A560 Cheadle Road connects to the M56. Manchester Airport is 8km southwest, with over 300 EV charging points serving the area. The district was once home to major railway locomotive works.
