Chattenden occupies elevated ground on Kent's Hoo Peninsula between the Thames and Medway estuaries. Reach it via the A228 from Rochester then the B2000, or from London via M25 Junction 2 and the A2. The village houses the Defence Explosive Ordnance Disposal Training Regiment on the former Royal Naval Armament Depot site.
