Chapman is a small farming town of about 1,400 people in central Kansas, just off Interstate 70 at Exit 286. US Highway 15 runs right through downtown, while State Highway 18 provides east-west access across Dickinson County. Most visitors come from Salina (20 miles northwest), Topeka, or Kansas City via I-70. The town's massive concrete grain elevator towers over the prairie and can be spotted from miles away.
