Cautley is a small Yorkshire Dales village beneath the Howgill Fells, reached via the A683 through Sedbergh. Most visitors arrive from the M6 via Kendal or from the A65 through Kirkby Lonsdale. The village serves as a quiet base for exploring both the Dales and Lake District, with about 13 fast EV chargers in the area. Cautley Spire, a distinctive rocky outcrop visible across the valley, towers above the village like a natural church tower.
