Castle Hills is a small city of about 4,000 people completely surrounded by San Antonio in central Texas. Take US 281 north from downtown San Antonio for 8 miles, or use Interstate 410 to connect from other directions. San Antonio International Airport is 15 miles northwest via Loop 1604. Despite being an enclave within the San Antonio metro area, Castle Hills maintains its own municipal government and police force.
