Carrickbeg

Carrickbeg sits on the south bank of the River Suir in County Waterford, linked to Carrick-on-Suir across the water by a magnificent 14th-century stone bridge with seven arches that's been carrying traffic for over 600 years. The N24 brings you here from Waterford city in about 20 minutes, while the R697 connects locally to Carrick-on-Suir's centre and down toward Dungarvan. There's decent electric vehicle charging around the area, and you'll find traditional holy wells at Graigue and Spa Well that speak to centuries of settlement along this stretch of the Suir Valley.
