Carndonagh

Carndonagh sits at the northern tip of the Inishowen Peninsula, one of Ireland's most northerly towns. The main route in is the R238 from Buncrana, connecting south to Letterkenny about 45 kilometers away. Long-distance travelers from Dublin take the N2 to Letterkenny, then follow the R238 north. The R240 offers a coastal approach from Malin Head for those touring the Wild Atlantic Way, while the R242 connects to Ballyliffin's golf courses. The town has about 10 public fast EV chargers for electric vehicle travelers. The 17th-century market cross in the town square features intricate Celtic knotwork and biblical scenes carved into sandstone.
