Carleen lies in Cornwall's former mining heartland, easily reached via the A394 between Helston and Penzance. The A30 brings longer-distance traffic, whilst local routes connect surrounding villages like Breage and Godolphin Cross. RNAS Culdrose helicopter base sits nearby, and over 40 fast charging points serve the area. The village remains surrounded by preserved Cornish engine houses from the old tin mines.
