Carkeel is a residential area in Saltash, Cornwall, perched above the River Tamar with commanding views across to Plymouth. The A38 provides the main connection via Tamar Bridge, whilst the A388 serves local routes to Callington. The location offers easy access to both Plymouth's facilities and Cornwall's attractions. Most striking are the twin bridges spanning the estuary - Brunel's magnificent railway viaduct alongside the 1961 road crossing.
