Cappawhite

Cappawhite is a small village in County Tipperary, about 25 kilometers south of Tipperary town along the R513. Most visitors come via the N24 from Limerick, turning south at Oola for the final stretch. The village sits on elevated ground in the Slieveardagh Hills and serves as a handy base for exploring the Golden Vale. The Sean Treacy Memorial Swimming Pool is the main local attraction, drawing families from the surrounding area, while Dundrum Golf course is a short drive away. The name comes from "Ceapach Bán," meaning "white tillage plot," after the pale limestone soils typical of this farming region.
