Canisbay
Scotland
Scotland
Canisbay lies in Scotland's far northeast, five kilometres from John O'Groats where tourists flock to reach Britain's northeastern tip. Drive the A99 north from Wick for the most direct route, or take the A9 from Inverness for the full Highland experience across the Flow Country. The parish church holds a window commemorating Jan de Groot, the 15th-century Dutchman who gave John O'Groats its name.
