Calzeat lies in the Scottish Borders along the A701, about 45 kilometers south of Edinburgh near Broughton. The A701 provides the main access, connecting to the M74 via Moffat or north to Edinburgh, whilst local routes link nearby Biggar and Drumelzier. Electric vehicle charging is available at roughly 10 public points in surrounding settlements. Ancient Iron Age hill forts overlook the Tweed Valley from prominent earthworks still visible beside the main road.
