Calverstown is a handy spot in County Kildare, sitting right on the N9 about 50 kilometres southwest of Dublin. You'll find it easily accessible whether you're coming from the capital via the M7 and Naas, or heading north from Cork through Carlow. The town makes a good base for exploring the area's championship golf courses, particularly Rathsallagh Golf Club, which was carved from the grounds of an 18th-century estate and winds through ancient woodland.
