Cale Green forms part of Stockport, sitting on the A6 corridor between Manchester city centre and the Cheshire border. The M60 Junction 1 provides motorway access, whilst local routes use the A6 and A560. Manchester Airport lies 15 kilometres southwest via the M56. The area has over 300 EV charging points nearby. The name derives from Old English "cald," meaning cold, after exposed common grazing land.
