Lac-Drolet is a small Estrie town near the Maine border, reached mainly by Route 263, which links it to Lac-Mégantic and the string of villages heading toward the US line. Most local trips are short hops to Saint-Ludger, Nantes, or Lac-Mégantic for shopping and services, while longer drives from Quebec City or Sherbrooke bring in cottagers and outdoor enthusiasts. EV drivers should top up before arriving, as fast chargers are scarce outside Lac-Mégantic. The town takes its name straight from Lac Drolet, the small lake it sits beside.
