YYC airport is only about 31 km away, roughly 25 to 30 minutes via Highway 2 and Country Hills Boulevard. Highway 2 also carries longer trips north to Red Deer and Edmonton. EV chargers are available along the Highway 2 corridor and in town. Airdrie got its start in 1899 as a Calgary and Edmonton Railway stop, and that old rail line still runs alongside Main Street today.
