Burnfoot, Dumfries and Galloway 3

Burnfoot lies on the A7 between Carlisle and Edinburgh, just north of the English border in Dumfries and Galloway. The village serves as a waypoint on the busy Carlisle-Langholm route, with good access to the M74 for Glasgow connections. The surrounding countryside features rolling hills and working farms typical of the Borders region. The settlement's name comes from the burn that flows at the foot of the local hill.
