Burncross

Burncross occupies Sheffield's northern edge along the A6102, serving as a gateway between the city and South Yorkshire's former mining communities. The area sits on gently rolling terrain where the Don Valley meets the Peak District foothills, experiencing typical Pennine weather with frequent showers. Access comes via the A6102 from Sheffield centre or the A629 from Junction 35 of the M1. The original Victorian terraced streets, built for steelworkers, retain their distinctive red-brick character and geometric layout.
