Burmantofts is an inner Leeds district just over a kilometre east of the city centre, easily reached via the A64 York Road from Junction 43 of the M1. The former Victorian industrial area now serves as a residential neighbourhood with good links to the M621 ring road and over 300 EV charging points nearby. The name derives from Old English meaning "Burgmund's hill," dating back over a millennium.
