Buchanan is a farming town of 130 people in central North Dakota, about 15 miles southeast of Jamestown via Highway 281. Most visitors come from I-94 at Jamestown, then drive south through prairie farmland. The town sits in typical Great Plains country with cold winters and warm summers perfect for growing crops. Its century-old grain elevator still operates during harvest season and can be spotted from miles away.
