Brownieside is a small Northumberland village about 10km inland from the coast, reached via the A1 and local B-roads. Most visitors come from Newcastle (80km south) or Berwick-upon-Tweed (25km north), with good EV charging nearby. The village gets its name from the distinctive reddish-brown sandstone used in local buildings.
