Bronaugh is a farming town of 163 people in southwestern Missouri, 12 miles from Kansas on Highway 71. The main routes are Highway 71 north to Nevada and I-49 toward Kansas City, or south toward Pittsburg, Kansas, plus Route 43 east-west to Fort Scott. The town hosts an annual Punkin' Days festival in October featuring a pumpkin weigh-off with specimens over 1,000 pounds.
