Brigstock lies in rural Northamptonshire between Corby and Oundle, reached via the A6116 from the A43. The A14 provides main long-distance access, whilst local routes connect nearby villages like Stanion and Sudborough. The village once held unusual legal powers as a "peculiar" jurisdiction, including the right to operate its own gallows.
