Brightwaters, NY

Brightwaters is a small village on Long Island's south shore, surrounded by Bay Shore and sitting between Great South Bay and Sunrise Highway. Most visitors drive the Long Island Expressway or Southern State Parkway, then connect to local roads leading to Route 27. The village sits about 15 miles from both Republic Airport and MacArthur Airport, with EV charging available along major approach routes. Brightwaters maintains one of Long Island's few remaining private resident-only beaches, established through a 1920s membership system.
