Brentor

England

England

Brentor perches on Dartmoor's western edge, a tiny Devon village overshadowed by its namesake volcanic tor. The A386 runs right past it between Tavistock and Okehampton, whilst country lanes connect to Mary Tavy and surrounding hamlets. Most visitors come via short hops from Tavistock, though it's a handy stop for those crossing between Cornwall and central Devon. St. Michael de Rupe church sits atop the tor at 1,130 feet, making it one of England's highest churches.
